Since incorporating at the end September 2011, The 2nd Basemen, Inc. is proud to highlight our accomplishments in the last 3 months of 2011:
- We donated gift cards and auction items to a fundraiser benefiting a 32 year old woman facing a battle with stage 4 breast cancer.
- We provided the funds for a survivor’s husband to have medically necessary major reconstructive dental surgery.
- We provided a tour of Fenway Park, game day baseball tickets, and a player meet and greet for a survivor facing a cancer recurrence to her brain.
- Through a partnership with The Westchase Foundation, we were able to provide funds to a young survivor facing her second battle with breast cancer and the threat of homelessness due to the high costs associated with her new treatment regime.
- We provided Christmas presents for a survivor’s family who without our help would have had nothing to put under their Christmas tree this year.
We could not have helped all of these families without your generous support. As The 2nd Basemen look forward to 2012, we intend to continue to raise money so that we can enrich the lives of both women and men (and their families) diagnosed with breast cancer by offering assistance to help them enjoy life and thrive despite their diagnosis and extensive and ongoing therapies. At the same time, we look forward to your tax deductible donation to ensure that we can continue to provide this needed assistance to women and men (and their families) living every day with breast cancer.
